Underclassmen Semi-Formal Dance is March 24th: Glow Crazy!

Lindsey Hausmann and Ava Easterly

The classes of 2025 and 2026 are hosting a semi-formal dance in March! After the success of the homecoming dance in October, students are ready to get back on the dance floor. “Glow Crazy,” a neon-themed event, will be held at the Harbor Community Center (old Pier 44) from 7:00-9:00 PM on March 24th!

The Harbor Community Center is located at 44 Jericho Road in Scituate Harbor. This building previously served as a temporary town library, but it now provides an ideal venue for special events. Dancing will take place in the three connected main rooms, which will be filled with fun lights and decorations that give ample space for students to get their groove on! Snacks and refreshments, such as chips, soda, water, and candy, will be available for purchase.

SHS sophomore Maddie Quirk is excited to attend the dance, saying it’s the perfect opportunity to “bond with your classmates and have fun with your friends.” Dances bring the high school community together and help build friendships between grades. With the Glow Crazy dance being held exclusively for underclassmen, Quirk believes “students will be more comfortable and encouraged to attend.”

According to the Class of 2025 secretary, CiCi Griffin, the choice of DJ, Club T Productions, was important. The production company’s motto is “creating unforgettable memories one perfect event at a time.” Tickets will be available for purchase approximately one week before the dance. Tickets purchased in advance will be sold for $10, and those bought at the door will be $15.

If you’re a member of the SHS freshman or sophomore classes, the Glow-Crazy semi-formal is the perfect way to spend your Friday night! Don’t miss the chance to form memories with your classmates!
