Known for her ambitious, hardworking, and driven personality, SHS senior Adeline (Addy) Oliver is the latest addition to this year’s Senior Sleigh Ride.
A dedicated student, Oliver’s favorite classes include Anatomy and Physiology with SHS science teacher Jennifer Last. She has also enjoyed taking Spanish with Senora Christina Murray and Senora Sarah Brady, Psychology with Andrew Roberts, and Chemistry with Cassie Thibeault.
Seen as a role model for her classmates, Oliver is a member of the Principal’s Advisory Committee and the National Honor Society. She is also a valued member of many clubs and organizations. Through her participation in the International Club, Oliver helped raise money for the Pulsera Project to assist Central American communities. During the spring of her junior year, Oliver traveled to South America to participate in a two-week student program sponsored by the U.S. State Department. This year, she is a head delegate for Model UN (MUN). In this role, she assists in planning conferences, fundraising activities, and weekly meetings. Oliver said some of her favorite memories are from MUN conferences, especially from group dinners and sightseeing activities.
Oliver looks forward to broadening her horizons in college by exploring new places, meeting new people, and gaining new experiences. She plans on pursuing a major in neuroscience/cognitive science or psychology on a pre-med track.
When asked who she would bring on the Senior Sleigh Ride, Oliver said her sister, Serena.
