Directly off of route 3A and open every day from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Sweet Mouse Cafe finds success as a small business in Cohasset, serving boba tea, fruit teas, smoothies, ice cream, and other fun drinks. Owner Jun Tan takes pride in the location of his cafe, as it is “in the middle of two towns and close to 3A,” allowing him to connect with the community. Standing out from other local boba, Tan feels confident that “you can check the menu to see that [they] use fresh food as the main ingredient,” prioritizing their customers’ health and enjoyment.
While the “cost is slightly higher than others,” Sweet Mouse Cafe has enjoyed success. Tan noted that he has made many friends through his business and has had experience with “many customers who come in who are so nice.”
When asked how to make the perfect boba tea, Tan did not hesitate to declare the recipe requires “using your heart,” confirming his passion for his cafe. He said, “To do something well, you need to put your heart into it.” While every company has a different personality and business structure, Sweet Mouse Cafe “has a good relationship with friends and customers,” a secret behind their achievements.
Although inherent challenges have been faced, Tan believes “customers usually like the cafe” as evidenced by their quality reviews.
When new customers feel conflicted about what to try, Tan likes to “help customers and customize the things they like.” With emphasis on customer satisfaction, Tan makes it obvious that he cares for people.
