Andrei Aprea, Staff Writer
With a strong background and passion for all things English, Andrei Aprea (he/him) is excited to take the next step in his journalism pursuits, becoming a staff writer for The Scituation. After taking Introduction to Journalism during his freshman year at SHS, Aprea quickly discovered a love for journalistic writing. As a writer for the newspaper, Aprea intends to advocate for equality and diversity in Scituate while simultaneously shining a light on arts and entertainment opportunities at SHS.
Described by his peers as kind, creative, and artistic, Aprea plays a vital role at SHS. President of the Environmental Club and co-leader of the Bring Change to Mind Club, Aprea is dedicated to his community and spreading awareness regarding mental health. He is also a member of the National Honor Society. Beyond his academic excellence, Aprea is known for his striking artistic talent. In addition to his leadership in the arts program at SHS, he recently received a well-deserved citation from the South Shore Art Center (SSAC).
With an impressive variety of skills, Aprea has big goals for his future. Inspired by his environmental science class, he is interested in pursuing environmental studies at the college level. During his senior year, Aprea looks forward to impacting his community and sees his participation in the journalism program as an excellent opportunity.
