Joining The Scituation while maintaining the balance of your participation in multiple extracurriculars and keeping your grades high with a schedule chock-full of APs is demanding to say the least; nevertheless, senior Bridget Nicolo (she/her) is making it work in stride.

Despite having zero prior experience in journalism,  Nicolo became interested in joining The Scituation after taking Mrs. Hall’s AP Language and Composition class during her junior year. She has always loved writing and even hopes to go to college and study something along the lines of English, communications, or media studies, but–like us all–is still figuring it out at the moment.

Nicolo is known as a super authentic, creative, and well-rounded student at SHS. She’s also a superstar academic, maintaining high grades while also being inducted into the National and World Language Honors Societies. Outside of school, she participates in competitive dance, which she hopes to continue doing throughout college and beyond. She is also active in Model UN and Allies Not Bystanders and serves as the secretary of Student Government for the Class of 2022.

This year, Nicolo hopes to stay on top of her schoolwork while staying sane amongst the stress of college applications. As a staff writer for The Scituation, she is extremely excited to write about topics that interest her, including her favorite music, movies, and other subjects.  Additionally, she hopes to dive into new, exciting topics and learn more about our Scituate community in the process.
