Charlie McDonald

Charlie McDonald, Editor in Chief

Charlie McDonald is the perfect combination of familiar and unique. Despite the fact that McDonald’s infamous (and utterly contagious) laugh can be recognized echoing from halls away, the faces of his peers at the Scituation light up upon his entrance into the classroom. Always a source of laughter, laughing with him not at him, of course, McDonald plays a critical role on the Scituation team. McDonald’s short-lasting, but definitely effective, serious side has landed him the position of editor-in-chief later this year. McDonald is a Senior at SHS, and his knack for writing, quickness with words, and dedication to the Scituation helps to put him on the right path for a potential future career in communications. Considering himself a very extroverted person, McDonald is recognized as a passionate kid who truthfully loves making everyone feel included and incorporating fun into all that he does, literally. Even at his workplace, scooping ice cream and making frappes at Nona’s Homemade in Scituate harbor, McDonald still finds a way to have a good time making customers “cackle”. Outside of the Scituation, McDonald’s presence is spanned throughout the rest of the school, too, even reaching the underrated Badminton team. McDonald proudly holds the prized role of president of the Badminton Club and he is honored to continue the legacy of generations. Quite unsuspecting to most, McDonald actually has a competitive streak in his nature, too. Enjoying the individuality and test of the sport, McDonald is captain of the Varsity Cross Country team and his skill may even place him on a college team next year. If you ever get the chance, stop and chat with Charlie McDonald, it’ll feel like you’ve known him for years.
