Cleo Belber, Staff Writer
With everything that’s going on in the world today, Cleo Belber (she/her) is focused on getting all her college applications in on time. On top of all her duties as a senior, Cleo is joining The Scituation for the first time this year. Widely known as outspoken about current events across Scituate High School, Cleo is nothing short of extraordinary.
While at school, Cleo likes to focus on the two subjects where she excels: foreign language and history. For her foreign language studies, she received Mr. Kovach’s award for French, as well as a gold medal for the National Spanish Exam during both her freshman and sophomore years. She also received a history award from Mr. McNeil, further proving her academic excellence. On top of that, she received a book award from Williams College.
When Cleo isn’t focusing on her academics, she enjoys running track and cross country. Last year, she was honored as a Patriot League All-Star for cross country as well as winter track. On top of her love for sports, Cleo is also an activist for many different issues. In the future, she hopes to continue her education and become a diplomat or work for the United Nations. Cleo is a rockstar, and she is so excited to be a writer for The Scituation this year!
