Frankie Minich, Video Team Manager
Frankie Minich (he/him) is eager to return to The Scituation as Video Team Manager and a veteran journalist. In his second year of Honors Journalism, Minich is prepared to take the video team to the next level. Originally recruited for the video team during his junior year by Scituation alum Lily Grazioso, Minich is grateful to be part of the video team for a second year. With high expectations for the team’s endeavors this year, he hopes to maintain a more consistent schedule of uploading videos and getting more people in the school community involved.
Described by his peers as creative, confident, and ambitious, Minich’s traits have landed him the role of President of the SHS Drama Club. For recognition due to his impressive theatre skills, Minich has received two awards in state drama festivals and has participated in senior districts, a choir festival.
Minich has academic interests in English, journalism, film, and literature. An extremely talented writer, he wrote “Scituate Owes Its Trans People Protection” last year in response to transphobic comments made publicly by Scituate residents. This article, which was based on his own experiences as a trans student in Scituate, went viral in the community. When he is not excelling as a student journalist, actor, and singer, Minich enjoys writing screenplays and listening to music.
Beyond Scituate High School, Minich hopes to attend a large university, where he’d like to major in theatre. He has big aspirations for the future, including moving to New York City and being on Broadway.
