Hannah Morel, Editor-in-Chief

This year’s editor-in-chief, senior Hannah Morel is entering her second year in the Honors Journalistic Writing class, after spending her junior year as a staff writer. Morel has academic interests in history and English, and she is involvement in multiple clubs at SHS, such as debate, student government, and DECA. She has been the captain of the varsity softball team since her junior year. Morel works for Scituate Recreation as a camp counselor in the summer and at Harbor Light Toy Company year round. She hopes to combine all of her skills to write intriguing stories for the publication. As this year’s editor-in-chief, Morel would like to make the publication the best it can be.  Morel is interested in journalism because she hopes to work in the entertainment business, possibly writing for Buzzfeed or E! News after college. She feels very confident in her knowledge of celebrities and the industry and therefore looks to keep Scituation readers up to date on pop culture. Morel aims to go to a good college and have a great career. With so many strengths inside and outside of school, Morel looks forward to being a role model for underclassmen.
