Embarking on her third journalism class, senior Joceyln Finney (she/her) is beyond excited to be an editor-in-chief of The Scituation this year. Known for her independence and friendliness, she can’t wait to bring her passion for writing to The Scituation.

Entering the year, Finney is looking forward to walking the halls as a senior, with the culmination of her anticipation coming with graduation in May. After leaving Scituate, she plans to major in nursing in college.

When she is not pursuing the next story or enjoying science class, Finney can be found playing field hockey or lacrosse, notably earning the coach’s award for field hockey in 2023. Additionally, she has taken up volunteer coaching younger grades in both sports, making her an excellent leader and communicator on the Scituation team
