John Martin, Staff Writer
John Martin an esteemed member of the senior class in Scituate has an insatiable appetite for words. He is a first-year journalist for The Scituation. At the sprightly age of 12, he discovered his true passion: writing. After perfecting his craft, he was finally published in the Scituation. In the future, he aspires that with pen and quill, he can achieve literary success and ultimately become a renowned author. His passion to decipher the jargon of the English language and include it in his day to day vernacular is impressive. In all seasons, he spends his time enjoying nature with Pokemon Go in the palm of his hand. When asked what he could not live without, he immediately jested, “water.” He is an avid sculptor and has taken art classes galore. If he were able to re-live any time period, he would definitely choose the Russian Revolution because the country was in a proverbial rebirth. One thing he yearns for is the release of a new Walkman due to its constant stream of good tunes without advertisements. John looks up (literally) to Yao Ming and if he had the chance to meet Niccolo Machiavelli, he would relish it. He finds that Machiavelli’s cornucopia of quotes gives accurate mantras to live by in his daily life. The quote, “the ends justify the means” resonates with him in the decisions he makes. In short, he is a linguist for the ages and will be a valuable contributor to The Scituation.
