Katie Heneghan, Business Manager

Meet senior Katie Heneghan, returning for her second year as an Honors Journalism member, she is a part of the business and fundraising team. Katie is interested in writing stories about the new middle school and how the teachers and students are adjusting to the new school. She is a member of the Model United Nations club and has had fun participating in the conferences. Katie’s favorite trip was to the Boston College Eagle Model United Nations during her sophomore year. She will not be going to the Vanderbilt Tennessee conference this fall, but will be attending the Boston College trip again this spring. It makes sense for her to enjoy Model UN so much, as her favorite subject in school is history. APUSH being her favorite class she has taken in the high school so far. You may also see Katie working at the Lucky Finn in Scituate Harbor, or relaxing on the Scituate beaches especially Peggotty beach. She is also a varsity lacrosse player, lacrosse being her favorite sport, while she also runs cross country and track. Katie has one older sibling named Patrick, who is currently in college and two rescue dogs named Bella and Annie. Katie also went on the Appalachia Service Project (ASP) this past summer to West Virginia and helped make a difference in the poor communities by helping build houses.  If you ask Katie where some of the best Scituate restaurants are, she’d point you to the Rivershed for burgers and Coffee Corner, where she usually gets a cinnamon sugar bagel. Katie doesn’t have any specific goals as a member of the Scituation staff yet, but will definitely make a big difference with her story ideas.
