Kelly Granatino, Co-Editor-In-Chief
As one of two returning staff members, senior Kelly Granatino (she/her) is excited to lead The Scituation as Co-Editor-In-Chief. Known as a friendly, motivated, and diligent student, Granatino is a respected member of the SHS community. A natural leader, Granatino showcases her communication skills as the secretary for Model United Nations and National Honor Society. She is also a member of the Principal’s Advisory Committee and she plays field hockey and lacrosse.
Granatino’s academic interests include Spanish and history. She actively pursues these interests through the U.S. State Department’s Youth Ambassador Program. Although participation was limited to virtual events during the height of the pandemic, last summer, Granatino enjoyed traveling to Chile with the program, where she met a diverse group of people. In the future, Granatino hopes to promote intercultural learning and actively pursue her dream career with the U.S Foreign Service.
Although Granatino will miss the Scituate community and her teachers, she looks forward to broadening her horizons in college, where she hopes to study international affairs with an emphasis on South American culture.
While enjoying the last year of high school with her class, Granatino looks forward to creating a positive community within the journalism program and the Scituate community as a whole.
