Senior Kerry Gibbons (she/her) is enthusiastic about joining The Scituation team as a staff writer. Inspired by her journalistic work as a strategist and reporter for the social media-based journalism club “whatsthescit,” Gibbons is passionate about adding her voice to the journalism program. Known for her friendly and easy-going personality at SHS, she is a creative and unique student looking to add information surrounding local businesses to our storyboard. Gibbons looks forward to collaborating with her peers and improving her writing skills. 

Beyond her interest in journalism, Gibbons enjoys English and history courses here at SHS; she is specifically interested in sociology. Through her extracurricular efforts, she is an active member of the SHS community. She plays varsity soccer and tennis and participates in the Red Cross Club. Outside of school responsibilities, Gibbons enjoys working at Cattivo, a boutique in North Scituate.   

Looking to the future, Gibbons plans to major in business and is considering applying to colleges in the South. Finishing this year strong, Gibbons wants to have as much fun as possible while making the most of her time at SHS and on The Scituation team.
