Leah Doherty, Production Manager/Staff Writer
Leah Doherty is a member of the senior class at Scituate High School and currently works for the school newspaper, the Scituation, as one of its staff writers and head editors. Entering her second year on the Scituation, she is eager to take on a leadership role as Production Manager and become more involved in the newspaper’s activities: whether it’s mentoring her fellow peers, editing articles, or leading others in the physical production of the newspaper. Apart from her passion for writing, Leah also expresses interest in a variety of other activities, including soccer and music. Since the fifth grade, Leah has been playing for a club soccer team under the careful guidance of Coach Frank Teixeira. In addition, she is a four-time varsity soccer player at the high school and is hoping to help her team win the State Championships after making it to the Semifinals last year. While she is very dedicated to sports, Leah also enjoys expressing herself with music and has been taking classical piano lessons for nearly ten years now. On top of her love for the piano, she has been playing flute in the symphonic band since fourth grade and hopes to tryout for the high school jazz band this year. Overall, Leah is a hardworking and enthusiastic student who looks forward to another great year at Scituate High School.
