Known for her friendliness and bubbly personality in and out of the classroom, senior May Watkins (she/her) is excited to kick off her first year as a Staff Writer for The Scituation. A captain of the varsity gymnastics team and a member of the varsity softball team, Watkins is a dedicated member of the National Honor Society and Model United Nations. 

After taking Introduction to Journalism during her sophomore year, Watkins is ready to dive back into journalism. After participating in a two-week exchange program in Getxo, Spain, Watkins feels she has a lot to share about her experiences overseas. With interests in music, pop culture, and entertainment, Watkins wants her writing to be an engaging voice for The Scituation this year.

After high school, Watkins hopes to attend a college or university and major in communications. She plans to explore her love of math and English further, and her future goals include managing a collegiate gymnastics team.
