Natalie Naylor, Editor-in-Chief

Natalie Naylor (she/her) is joining The Scituation for a second year–this time as an editor-in-chief. Described by her peers and teachers as highly intelligent and creative, Naylor is excited to have an important leadership position with the team, saying her experience in Introduction to Journalism during her sophomore year sparked her love for journalistic writing.

Despite having a busy academic schedule, Naylor is involved in many extracurricular activities at SHS. She plays field hockey and lacrosse and participates in Model United Nations, Best Buddies, Bring Change to Mind, and Chess Club.

Among her many accomplishments, Naylor won first place in the annual “Thoughts on America” speech competition during the spring of her junior year. With lots of time and dedication put into her speech, she responded to the question, “What does it mean to be a true American citizen?” Naylor also earned a SAIL award for math. She enjoys her Spanish classes and is a Spanish National Honor Society member.

Naylor has set big goals in journalism, hoping to share her opinions and invest in her community, forever leaving her mark on Scituate High School. Following graduation, she plans to study journalism at a four-year university in the Washington, D.C., area and pursue a career in communications.
