Phoebe Swetish, Staff Writer
With a creative mind and a desire to delve into challenging and difficult topics, senior Phoebe Swetish (she/her) aspires to explore the unexplored during her first year as a staff writer for The Scituation. After completing Introduction to Journalism, Phoebe felt a calling to represent herself and her peers in the world of journalism. There is no doubt that her skill and talent will distinguish her as a journalist, thus sparking interest among many other SHS students.
Known as someone who is kind and talented, Phoebe’s primary academic interests include art and English. She thrives when her creative senses come to life through her work with SHS organizations such as the Film Club, Amnesty International, and Allies Not Bystanders. By the end of the year in her AP art class, Phoebe hopes to proudly and successfully complete a portfolio of her work.
While her feet are grounded in Scituate, Phoebe confesses her heart is elsewhere: Having traveled to Italy with her family, Phoebe dreams of traveling there again and plans to board a plane as soon as it is safe to do so following the ongoing pandemic. With her positive outlook, her open mind, and her experiences abroad, Phoebe is an excellent addition to The Scituation staff this year.
