Rachel Babb, Op-Ed Editor

Rachel Babb is eager to begin her senior year as Op-Ed editor for The Scituation and to embark on her final year of high school. Rachel has a diverse group of interests ranging from cheer coach and cheerleader, softball player, babysitter for children with cerebral palsy, artist and musician. Rachel aspires to go to college and study Journalism and Broadcasting, she is a strong writer and has a genuine interest in making sure that students at SHS know the truth, and learn something new by reading The Scituation.

Rachel looks forward to senior activities that bring the grade together, such as dress up week, senior activity week and graduation. Her favorite SHS teacher is Mr. Haddad, and he is her favorite thing about Scituate High School. Rachel thoroughly enjoys her AP art class and honors Journalism with Mrs. Hall! Rachel’s favorite food is chinese food, sushi, and anything with curry. She plays the guitar and ukulele and will sometimes accompany her younger sister as she sings. She looks up to prominent fashion figures such as Coco Chanel and Iris Apfel because of their carefree nature and great sense of style. She loves music, art, writing, and is very community oriented with a diverse group of interests.
