Sarah Snow, Staff Writer
Joining The Scituation this 2021-2022 school year is SHS senior Sarah Snow (she/her). Sarah is approaching this year with a positive and driven attitude. Snow felt inspired to join this year’s journalism team following the encouragement of her twin sister, Ellie, this year’s Co-Editor-in-Chief for The Scituation, who urged Sarah to further pursue her passion for writing. Snow also wanted to join the Honors Journalism crew, as she feels she has little experience in the journalism arena and is eager to build a better understanding of the subject. Her hardworking, cooperative, and motivated personality is sure to make an impact during this year’s publication.
Sarah is a very recognized student at SHS, being a member of both the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society. Her incredible dedication and creativity are shown in her academics, as Snow has taken on the immense pressure of five AP courses this year. The SHS senior’s focus for the 2021-22 school year is particularly on organizing her busy schedule to maintain academic success and ensuring her articles this year are unique and inviting for a large audience. With Snow’s wholehearted enthusiasm for English, history, and psychology, this Scituation newbie looks to apply her passions to a variety of different articles this year.
Snow’s dedication doesn’t stop short at academics, as she is also an avid dancer. Spending upwards of 17 hours a week in the dance studio, Snow has plans to major in dance at college–along with a minor in business.
Having grown up in Switzerland, Snow hopes to provide a broader perspective to this year’s publication. Sure to contribute passion and open-mindedness to the team, Snow would like to be a vital staff writer during the 2021-2022 academic year.
