A good Irish pub is always a safe choice if you’re looking for a good meal. Mr.Dooley’s, located in both Cohasset Village and Boston is no exception. With a welcoming atmosphere and reasonable prices, Mr. Dooley’s adds up to a great restaurant that can gives the customers many options. From steak, to fried chicken and everything in between, Dooley’s cures any craving.
Whether you are looking for a romantic night out, or just a night with friends, Mr.Dooley’s definitely has you covered. While Scituate’s local Irish pub, T.K. O’Malley’s, is always a classic with its famous goldfingers, switching it up and traveling an extra 10 or so minutes will do you some good. Mr.Dooley’s food definitely leaves the costumers with more bang for their buck. With reasonable prices, and a good sized meal Dooley’s definitely fills a hungry stomach for a great price.
The wait is fairly quick even on a busy night and service is friendly and efficient. Upon entering the cozy atmosphere of Mr. Dooley’s I was seated right away. My waitress did not hesitate to ask for my party’s drink orders. Without being over bearing, it seemed as though the waiters and waitresses were attentive and waiting on the costumers hand and food. Quickly after placing in our drink orders I was handed my cold lemonade and instantly pleased with what quick service I was receiving.
The menu is fairly basic and not overwhelming when trying to figure out what to order. When it came down to order my meal, I went with steak tips and french fries. Just as the drink order went, the meal came out relatively quickly. Throughout my meal both the owner of the pub and the waitress were constantly checking in to see if there was anything I was in need of. My steak tips were a little burnt, but the french fries were flawless.
Overall, I was very pleased with the atmosphere of Mr.Dooley’s. The cozy pub with dim lighting had a welcoming feeling as well an inviting smell. The service was great, with a clearly very involved staff that really cared about your satisfaction with your meal. I saw no use in crying over slightly burnt steak tips, and give Mr.Dooley’s a solid A for effort. Mr. Dooley’s, also located in Boston, brings a city feel to a small suburb village, not too far from 02066.
